What are the causes of recreational accidents?
Injuries that are sustained by outdoor activities are not always as cut and dry as traditional accidents. There are many factors that go result in an accident, some common reason can include but are not limited to:
Poor judgment from another person. Perhaps you were injured as a direct result of someone breaking the rules, exhibiting a lack of safety standards, or simply displaying a disregard for the safety of others in a shared space.
A lack of precaution on part of the property owner or event manager. If you or a loved one has taken place in a planned event you are due to a certain level of safety provided by the even managers or property owners. If you believe that the organization running a recreational event may have operated the event at proper standards you may be entitled to compensation.
Faulty equipment or machinery that has not been properly maintained. These types of cases can arise when you rent equipment or vehicles from another organization. Typical examples can include boats, snowmobiles, and ATVs. When you rent outdoor vehicles you trust that they have been properly inspected and maintained. If properly standards have not been upheld it can lead to large accidents that were no fault of the operator.
